a glimpse of heaven's love

"But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed."  James 1:14  What is it that motivates you? What is your deepest desire? What is your own way? Tragically, it has been my experience, that many Christians today are more prone to just go their own way, with no thought of what God desires of them.  Those are not the target of my blog today.  More than likely, unless the Holy Spirit is at least beginning to change their heart, they will not have a desire to read on.  And chances are, they are not truly saved anyway.  A real Christian isn't just playing church, but has the Holy Spirit of God living within them, guiding and convicting them to do right.  They are not my target audience.  You, however, that are not being drawn by temptation, but by God's grace,  desire to change -- YOU are my target audience!     For a real Christian, Christ isn't just part of your life, He's ALL of your life!  Our lives should never be compartmentalized--having our relationship to Christ in one compartment and the rest of our life as another compartment.  Christ is either who you are --or He's not! The difference between involvement and commitment is like a ham and eggs breakfast: the chicken was involved-–but the pig was committed! John 4:24 "God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth ." Proverbs 20:10-11 "Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to the Lord.     Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure , and whether it be right ." I've been reading through the book of Proverbs for my devotions the last several days.  God brings up "divers weights" and "divers measures" several times.  He hates them…why?  because they are not true; they are a lie.  ...

I love flowers--all flowers--but these are petunias in particular.  I'm showing a photo of not only a seedling that has germinated and grown, but also the full-grown beautiful flowers.  They're planted that they might bloom, bringing forth its full fruit of a flower.  That is what we are meant to do as Christians!  We are saved that we might grow and bring forth fruit.  Jesus said in my first Bible reference, "Ye shall know them by their fruits."  Do people see Jesus Christ in you?  Do people see a difference in you?  Are you producing fruit for His kingdom?  Please read further!  Please be certain that you are Christ's and have a home in Heaven--not just following a crowd.  May Christianity be real in you!
