He is There!

Wow!  I can't believe how long it's been since I've written anything in my blog.  Not that a lot of people tune in to check out what I have to say...but it's the people that do tune in, and more importantly, those that need to hear some of the things I have to say, that make it all worthwhile!

I have a question for you!  How have you been doing?  You--personally!  Are you doing good... or are you just pluggin' along?  Check your attitudes...check your emotions...they're a sure-fire way to see how you're really doing!

We tend to be a very emotional people.  If we're happy and excited...we show it.  If we're down and discouraged, we show that as well.  There's an old saying: we tend to "wear our heart on our sleeve."  (actually, it's from Shakespeare in Othello!)  It just means we tend to be very open with our emotions.  That's not always a good thing, particularly if you're down and discouraged.  Let me encourage you a little and remind you of something as well.  Yes, we can go to a spouse or a friend or a family member...but we should always remember God and His Word is always there for us.  He has promised He will never leave us, nor forsake us.  What a precious promise that is!   As all of God's promises are...very precious!  Here's a few others for the times that try you!

Discouraged
Psalm 31:24 "Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord."

Psalm 27:1 "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"

Psalm 27:14 "Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord."

Worried
I Peter 5:7 "Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you."

Philippians 4:6-7 "Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 26:3 "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee; because he trusteth in Thee."

Philippians 4:19 "But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

Lonely
Isaiah 41:10 "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness."

John 14:18 "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you."

Deut. 33:27 "The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms."

Psalm 147:3 "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds."

Depressed
Psalm 34:17 "The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles."

Isaiah 43:2 "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee."

Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

You know what is so precious about God's Word?  It is alive and powerful...and ready to meet our deepest need!  Any one of these verses can be used for any problem you may have!  Why is that?...because we serve a loving Father Who cares about meeting your deepest need.  Go to Him...trust Him...and always know that He is near!

And dear friend, if you do not know God as your personal Saviour, that is your DEEPEST need!!  I have focused on that subject time and time again.  I will not again today...but please feel free to check through my archives for the subject of salvation...and please do not hesitate to ask me any question.  I would be most happy to answer you!

Always remember...He is there!

Trust Him to meet your every need!
